Creative disorganization

I read somewhere where if you organize your creative space, you will be more productive. I'm having some real problems with being organized. I spend more time looking for things, doo dads, glue, perfect color of metallic paint ("I just HAD it!") clicker, correct paint brush, wine, coffee, (depending on what time of day) than I do creating. "Where did I put it?" has become my mantra. I am going to try and put things into order. Today. So I'm not finding what I desperately needed (yesterday) in between the couch cushions.
