This is Grizzly's friend "J.D." He came out to our house today, getting to go for a car ride and enjoying the beautiful weather. You gotta love that snaggle tooth!

A weekend of art

I've been busy, busy, and unable to get to my art projects. Busy doing what, I really can't figure that out. Where does the time go? Next thing I know, another weekend has come and gone and I have almost nothing to show for it. Well, this weekend was different. I put in a lot of time in the past few days, cutting, baking, painting and arranging the polymer tiles. I'm happy with how things are progressing. The 3 pictures are some of the weekends efforts.

coffee, wine, chocolate and pizza...

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Probably shouldn't drink and post...

I spent (almost) the entire day on the sofa eating chocolate and drinking coffee. There was a break in the middle, long enough for Chuck and me to go to "Anthony's" for pizza, for a late lunch. The food is outta control once again. What happened to my New Year's resolutions/goals?

I've discovered "Coffee Frother's", a wonderful device that foam's your coffee cream. The chocolate is on sale at Publix and this evening I'm drinking wine. The great news is I PAINTED ALL DAY!!!

Sofa, great coffee, chocolate, pizza, wine and ART. WOW! Life just doesn't get any better!

Here it is. For right now.
It is my business card.
I like it. Pretty much.

Another great class!!!

Donna and I finished our 2nd class of 2010. It was terrific! The girls made made tile frames and tile boxes. Most of the girls were repeat friends, but we had 2 "newbies", Christie and her mom Alina. They both made BEAUTIFUL frames. The above picture was from the end of their creative day! Thanks to all the girls and congrats to all on the lovely work!

Business card woe's

I'm in the process of trying (and trying and trying) to make business cards. My poor husband. He's working 2 jobs, comes home tired and still works on this for me. It should be a simple procedure. Avery makes the precut cards, which I already paid for and now they sit waiting for the art work. I'm not totally crazy about the bird. But she's pretty weird AND, if I can get the color to come through, she's tan, beige and black, my favorite colors that I wear. Everything continues to go wrong. Color works one time, not the next or correct size when we scan, strange line when we print. It is so frustrating. All this because I want to save the $100.00. Do I even need business cards? Since I started this blog, I've wanted to share it, a little... I grab a piece of scrap paper and scribble down the address, thinking the whole time "I wish I had a business card"
So I feel like we are moving forward in the whole process I decided to put pictures of the "so far this is what we've done" photos.

(Lack of) creative space

Should be titled:
Is there room for me here? OR
"Where the heck is it?"

Creative disorganization

I read somewhere where if you organize your creative space, you will be more productive. I'm having some real problems with being organized. I spend more time looking for things, doo dads, glue, perfect color of metallic paint ("I just HAD it!") clicker, correct paint brush, wine, coffee, (depending on what time of day) than I do creating. "Where did I put it?" has become my mantra. I am going to try and put things into order. Today. So I'm not finding what I desperately needed (yesterday) in between the couch cushions.
Wish me luck.
